WiFi Configuration
  • Click on Wireless on the main screen
  • Edit the Name (SSID) of the network
  • Under Security Options, choose WPA2-PSK [AES]
  • Enter the new WiFi Password
Change Admin Password
  • Go to Advanced at the top right
  • Click on Administration
  • Select Set Password
  • Enter old and new password, then Apply

  • Go to Advanced > Advanced Setup
  • Select Port Forwarding/Port Triggering
  • Click Add Custom Service
  • Set name, ports and internal server IP

What is the default IP address of Netgear routers?

Virtually all Netgear routers use 192.168.1.1 as the default address. You can also use http://routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.net as a convenient alternative.

I forgot my Netgear password, how can I recover it?
