Configure TP-Link Router via 192.168.1.1

Connect to your TP-Link router's WiFi network (default name like TP-Link_XXXX)
Open your browser and type http://192.168.1.1 or http://tplinkwifi.net
Enter credentials: Username 'admin' and Password 'admin'
If it's the first setup, the router will ask you to set a new password

- Go to Wireless in the side menu
- Edit the Wireless Network Name (SSID)
- Under Wireless Security, choose WPA2-PSK
- Enter the new WiFi password
- Click on Advanced at the top
- Go to System Tools > Administration
- Section Account Management
- Enter old and new password
- Go to Advanced > NAT Forwarding
- Select Virtual Servers
- Click Add to create a rule
- Set port, local IP and protocol
What is the default IP address of TP-Link routers?
Most TP-Link routers use 192.168.0.1 as the default address, but some older models use 192.168.1.1. You can also try http://tplinkwifi.net which works on many models.
I forgot my TP-Link password, what should I do?
You need to do a hardware reset: with the router on, hold the RESET button on the back for 10-15 seconds with a paperclip. The router will return to factory settings with admin/admin credentials.
How do I update the firmware on my TP-Link router?
